Policy
How this site expects FortiClient to be used, what transparency means for a commercial client, and where user responsibility begins.
Use FortiClient only to access networks, gateways, and systems you are authorized to use. Do not use VPN tunnels to bypass access controls or hide unauthorized activity.
Employers and schools may set additional rules. Those rules apply on top of local law.
Remote access tools are for legitimate work and study. Borrowed credentials and shared MFA tokens are not acceptable use.
Do not use endpoint modules to monitor people without a lawful basis and organizational policy.
FortiClient is commercial software. It is not marketed here as an open-source project. Administrators should obtain packages through licensed channels or internal libraries that mirror those packages.
This independent site explains features, install hygiene, and policy language. It does not replace vendor contracts or support entitlements.
A genuine FortiClient package from a trusted channel is security software, not malware. Still verify hashes and signatures. Heuristic alerts can appear and need careful review.
This site cannot certify every file that appears with a similar name. If the publisher signature or hash is wrong, treat the file as untrusted and delete it.
